August 1, 2001. We had one day in Nanchang which was set aside for sightseeing. Our adoption agency representative planned a tour of the Tengwang Tower. The Tengwang Tower is now under reconstruction (it has been rebuilt several times) in Song Dynasty style. The approximately 175-foot high tower consists of three open stories and six hidden stories. Outside the pavilion are courtyards, rockeries, terraces, pavilions and a lotus pond.
